Aruba is the Intelligent Edge business unit within Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). HPE acquired Silver Peak, an SD-WAN and WAN Optimization leader, in September 2020. The Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN portfolio consists of the EdgeConnect Platform from Silver Peak, SD-Branch, Microbranch, as well as the VPN Client (VIA). 
The portfolio offers WAN connectivity in diverse configuration options including on-premises, virtual appliances, public cloud virtual instances, or integrated into CSP/MSP offerings. EdgeConnect supports advanced WAN edge functions including SD-WAN, routing, WAN edge security functions such as a zone-based firewall, segmentation, and IDS/IPS, application and network visibility, and WAN optimization. Leveraging APIs, EdgeConnect integrates with industry-leading cloud-delivered security providers such as Zscaler, Netskope, Check Point, Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access, and McAfee, supporting SWG, CASB, ZTNA services and more. This enables customers to deploy a best-in-class SASE architecture without compromising either networking or security functions.
